Welcome! I am an assistant professor at Heritage University, where I focus on teaching and conducting research at the undergraduate level. I have experience teaching Introduction to Psychology, Statistical Methods, APA writing, as well as classes in Cognitive Psychology and Language and Cognition.
I began studying Psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, where I earned my BA in Psychology and Spanish. From there I joined the University of Texas at El Paso's Psychology Department as a doctoral student, where I combined my interest in bilingualism and cognitive psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Ana Schwartz.
I earned my MA in Experimental Psychology in 2016, and my PhD in General Psychology in August 2019. Aside from my training in psychology, I also have extensive training in Quantitative Methodology, including ANOVA, Regression, Categorical Data Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling, Psychometrics, and Multilinear Modeling.
Aside from my teaching experience, I also have experience with program evaluation and assessment. I've worked with UTEP's Research Evaluation and Assessment Services, where I used my statistical training to evaluate academic programs across the campus.
